Hey Dick;
Yeah, I was looking for one myself, some are close, but the needle size and the word “voltage” like the original style were not out there. Let us know if you find a source, I might incorporate one in the next dash re-do. (not anytime soon, I can assure you)

I had to do this for mine ,I could not match the face to a new one. once put back you can not tell bes…[Read more]

Hi Dick,
I just did some nosing around on Ebay and found this.

Larry,
Thanks. Lived here all my life. The house behind the last picture is where I grew up. Actually a lot of the snow has melted in the last few weeks. Been a long time since I’ve seen this much. Can’t wait until spring!!

Rich, You’ve got her looking good . I love that red with red interior. Seeing all that snow makes me realize just how much some of our members go thru to keep up their interest in their cars during the winter and how good those of us who live in warmer areas have it by comparison. Hang in there, spring will be here soon.

All,
In case anybody is curious, my car is not registered. I just stuck my Dad’s old number plate (Antique 1032) in to fill in the space. The plate is from his 1927 Model T. Note that the last registration is dated 1973.
The model T is stored in the same garage as my MG. It had not run for about 15 years and I challenged my brother last fall to…[Read more] -

Pink,
Hope all is well!
Still playing around with the motor. Having issues with the fuel system. Think I might have to rebuild the carb.
I’ll will send you a pm.
Bill,
How are you? Do you still have any badges left?
Seems like there are a couple of us in N. Jersey. Might have to get together once I get all the bugs out and the car registered. -

Larry,
I sent the seller a question as to whether it was an auto/stick. Glad to see he took the high road and added it to the info.
I was a Bug fanatic in the late sixties and early seventies. I owned a 65 microbus, 66 Bug, two 67 convertibles and a 73 Super Beetle. I never owned a Auto Stick Shift. Always seemed like a solution to a problem that…[Read more] -

Rich, I don’t see the 3700 lbs ,but thats waay too much. I see that the seller has now added additional info which states that the car is a auto stick. My son’s first car was a 70 VW auto stick that his grandfather bought not knowing the difference. Later when the trans gave up the ghost, we were going to have it changed to a 4 speed at a local…[Read more]

Larry,
Also, weight is indicated at 3700 lbs. Is that correct? That’s ~ 1700 lbs more than my FiberFab and mine has a V6. Just curious.
