Falcon,
I was able to get them from JC Wittney at a very good price.
They had clear driving lights ( the ones I used ) and yellow fog lights that were the same size and depth. I liked them because of the price and were very thin so they did not hit the badge bar.
I think I may still have the two yellow lights as I never sent them back after…[Read more] -

Why not try something really safe and available in many different configurations…a fuel cell.
Today’s fuel cells are available with senders for gas gauges too. Most of the companies offer “street” style cells that are not extremely expensive. You would want one that has it’s own metal “box”, not the black ABS plasitic style you see in the trunks…[Read more] -

ftmfalcom, I have replaced bothside of my pans in my TD on a 73 volks. I had a price in Fl for $350 a side and got it done here in N. Ga. for $450.00 both sides so prices to very and you will have to look around for a deal. I had the under side rust coated with the same thing they put in truck beds so I will never have that problem again.

Sorry to hear about the rust. It’s a pretty common problem with VWs and can range from a minor fix to replacing the whole floor pan. I’ve had 2 bugs that needed such repair. Replacement floor pans are available from many sources starting at about $100. You can use part of the pan as a patch or replace the whole driver side. If it’s a smal…[Read more]

Do you want one that is completed or one that requires some re-assembly?
Do you know anything about the many MGTD replica kits that were manufactured?
A really nice authentic MGTD is well over $35,000 if you can find one. That’s why we on this forum have the replicas! -

I have found a fellow in Evergreen, WA that collects and sells Chevette/T-1000 parts. His name is Rick Drake, 800-247-2954.
There is actually a few Chevette forums on the web too. Seems there is a vibrant dirt oval class for these cars in OH, TN & KY.
I have done business with Rick Drake several times. I may ask him to pencil trace a VIN from his…[Read more] -

Check with SEMA to see if there is any action being taken on the new laws.We are lucky here in N.H.,no titles after 15 years, although now we are allowed to title antiques 26 years old and older. Also,to register we are supposed to use the year the car most resembles.I have a lot of Model A Fords, and out of state buyers are always looking for an…[Read more]
