This is something that I have learned, the original M.G. did not come with wire wheels from the factory. Owners requested them but it was not offered.
They had steel painted wheels with a small hub cap.
For now I will stick with my wire hub caps and keep looking for two more 2 bar spinners around swap meets. -

Sorry I have been so long – I was trying to find the lights I have on the JC Witney site, but can’t seem to find them now.
I will dig them up out of my garage and get the brand name and try to find them on their site that way. Let you know soon.

I have a Chevette kit. During the assembly the original chevy front coil springs were to be cut shorter in order to make the car level. My car had that done during the assembly and it sits level and she drives wonderfuly. I will dig out my manual and let you know how much to cut off.

I know nothing about the Chevette based cars, except the one I drove a few years ago. There is a local man that has picked one up,the front end looks way out of proportion with the rest of the car.It is way up in the air.The owner brought it to my garage as he had heard I had some of these cars.He claims it rides like a tank in the front. How does…[Read more]

Thanks for the information. I am not willing to go that type of price range at this time. I think I’ll have the stock wheels sand blasted and repainted. Then the wire hub caps will look better.
I have been able to locate 2 two bar spinners that mount with a center 5/16″ bolt. I would like to find 2 more of them if anyone has a source. A local…[Read more] -

That is the place I was thinking of. It looks as you can get one of their standard 70 spoke wheels in any bolt circle you want for around $550.each.That is for a 6 inch rim.I was told add about $100.for a narrower rim,as it is not a stock predrilled item. The 54 spoke wheels are no longer in stock, but I was also told they would make anything I…[Read more]

Dayton wire wheels might still have them. twenty years ago they had a 52 spoke wire wheen for the VW four bolt pattern.

Why 52 spoke? That’s how many the TD optional wire wheel had. -

Hi,
I believe Classic Roadsters’ Duchess was the only TD reproduction with a bench seat. Classic is still in business. But they no longer produce the Duchess.
You might try to contact them and see if they can help you out. Contact Don Scott at don@classicroadsters.com

Yes there is,I can”t think of the name of the place right now. But,they advertise in Hemmings motor news. You may think twice about it though after you get a price. They were around $1100.each when the former owner of one of my cars priced them.I do remember that the price difference between chrome and painted was not that much.A local man took some…[Read more]

Falcon,
I was able to get them from JC Wittney at a very good price.
They had clear driving lights ( the ones I used ) and yellow fog lights that were the same size and depth. I liked them because of the price and were very thin so they did not hit the badge bar.
I think I may still have the two yellow lights as I never sent them back after…[Read more] -

Why not try something really safe and available in many different configurations…a fuel cell.
Today’s fuel cells are available with senders for gas gauges too. Most of the companies offer “street” style cells that are not extremely expensive. You would want one that has it’s own metal “box”, not the black ABS plasitic style you see in the trunks…[Read more] -
