I never had or was I ever able to find any manuals. I think I have the chrome Allison script. I did have a copy (picture of the fuse panel) With them all labeled but they weren’t the same as mine. My wiring was never hacked so I don’t know the difference, maybe just changes the factory made

The young gentleman at the tire store was afraid to move the car and asked me to. Must be young enough that he had never driven a Beetle.
We are lucky, lots of small wineries within a 10 mile drive. We could walk to Orfila (or back) if we had to.

On my previous toyo tires 165/80, I’ve run them at 18psi front and 24psi rear. Tried 16 and 17, but 18 in the front was a lot smoother based on my experience.

The Fiber Fab I’m looking at tomorrow has some of the vertical bars missing. Are those available?

A panhard rod is a strut or brace you mount to the frame on one side of the car and to the rear on the opposite side. This keeps he body centered over the axle preventing side to side stress on he suspension.

Has anyone used an alternative seat support on their FF MIGI, I have the original fibreglass tub style of seat supports that I have had to cut down so my head was not looking over the windscreen. Problem now is that with the lower profile of the tub can’t get my hand under the seat to tighten the bolts to the pan. Was considering making some…[Read more]

At the very least, install a panhard rod to prevent the springs from breaking.

“Go Withs” are always cool to get hold of. They are specially nice items if you take your car to shows. I have a few. Framed and placed around the car they make a nice display and add to the overall presentation.

Nice. It’s kind a rare item. I’m curious about the price of it.

Thanks Bill
Being 77 years old and my hot rod days are long gone would that Fiber Fab rear end be OK

The frame under my FiberFab Ford TDr is massive in comparison to what sits on it. It’s box channels with steel supports for the cowl and rear apron. The weakest link would be in FiberFabs idea of rear suspension. Eliminate the cut up leaf springs and build a multi link with coil overs and a panhard rod.
