And Allen, for what it’s worth, that connection is the only mistake I made when wiring my Duchess. Like yours, my rear wiring harness did not make it clear which wire was the tail light, and which was the brake light.

Sounds like Allen is looking for full time rear view camera in lieu of mirrors, not just for “backing up.”

Allen, I’ve been driving my TDr since 1983 with convex fender mounted mirrors and the dash mounted mirror. I’ve never had a problem seeing behind me. And don’t recall any “close calls” because I could not see a vehicle to the rear or side.

That’s a good idea too. I only thought about a direct route via metropolitan areas so I could see all the usual tourist places, so a scenic route would be better than doubling back. Scubasteve. I use your method for all vehicles except my Silverado. I use all, over the shoulder, mirrors but trust the rear view camera for what’s just behind the truck bed where I can’t see.

Bill, Paul, Ed. Along the lines of shows and rides, is there any type of organized “covered bridge” tour or rides up in your neck o the woods? I think that’d be a fun thing to go to.

That does look like fun. Last couple years, I’ve been doing the Historic Races at Lime Rock on that weekend…maybe switch it up this year if people are into it.
