Hey allWith all the talent in our club I was thinking that maybe the cowl brackets from SoCal speed shop could be modafied and used. Most of their parts are for early Fords but they may work.My Classic Roadsters LTD came with a pair of cool brackets and they do look better than just the frames. Im thinking of contacting a 3D printer company to…[Read more]

Having recently made my own wooden seat platforms, this is my assessment the difficulty involved in making the seat platforms. I am a very amateur woodworker, I have portable power tools and no dedicated wood shop, but hey, I thought, how hard can it be to build new seat bases? Well, it was a lot harder than I thought. You need to thoroughly th…[Read more]

It’s a Fiberfab on a 1971 VW irs based platform. It sat in a basement for many years, bought it got it home put lots O love into it. I have it running and driving (lights work, stops) What I need are seat platforms and a carpet kit. If anyone knows where I might find those items please let me know.
Cheers, Tony -

If I had a roll bar or hoops installed, I’d want them to fit under the convertible top. I only have a lap belt, so I don’t know if I’d stay inside in the event of a roll over. Is this new addition a race track requirement?

Sorry. I’m still learning. That last post was the pic I found of the rear springs. (Can someone confirm that it is a TD?)
Any idea why the kit uses a half spring when the original was a full leaf spring? (Besides cost and ‘because they can’?)Bill, interesting idea about the ’02 Escape… -

I’m also anxious to see what you will have there after it’s done.Found this just now, would think it a nice addition if they could be attached to the chassis via back seat area. One of the first thoughts after getting my car was about lack of a roll bar safety feature like I see on so many small sports cars. Wasn’t really intimidating because I… -

I should have told about the tank fitting being replaced already, too. Sorry.
Only using 100% gasoline, available around here, that’s why I went ahead and bought the original 5mm braided hose from a foreign car parts shop. I will check about the barricade kind when I can replace it all again. The engine compartment hoses seem okay, but were put on 4… -

OK, who’s else is giving it a go this year? Ed, I know you have to give the new power plant a go. Schu, you have to go, you’re the poster boy. Gabe, I’d like to see what that custom frame V6 will do. As before, we’ll try to reserve an entire run time for Saturday morning so we can all run together. For those who have never done this, try it you’ll…[Read more]
