William Coates replied to the topic Has anyone converted to a MG TD Windshield? in the forum General Discussion 4 years ago
I am preparing to do the same thing.
I may keep my CMC windshield and modify it to fit the MG parts I have consisting of Cowl Brackets Moss PN 408-315 & 325 and Side Supports Moss PN 408-230 & 240.
I still have to purchase miscellaneous bits and pieces to make it work.
I am not sure if the convertible roof needs to be changes but if I keep…[Read more]

My car came with a TD-like windscreen. It is very similar to an original but not quite the same size—slightly narrower, as I recall. My car’s scuttle did not have the molded-in “plinths” for an extended windshield frame, If yours does have those, you’d have to shave them and reshape the scuttle for the MG windshield mount. Then you (probably) h…[Read more]

I am thinking about putting on a regular MG TD Windshield. I know I will have to modify the scuttle. Has anyone done this?

I saw one on eBay just now 4500. Needs chrome but otherwise is ok.
it is about $600 to chrome one in Florida.
I saw another on eBay for $800 and probably could be used as-is but chrome would enhance its look

Well there’s another Carlisle show in the history books. The weather was perfect and I think most of us had a pretty good time. It was great to see Bill and Audrey with their new (two years old to them) green machine, and Bill Ascheman with his race MG’s cooling problems sorted.
It was also great to meet Gary and Doreen Wilson of upstate New…[Read more]

Hello Bill Does your windshield fold down? If so, can you provide some detailled photos? I have the brackets and can fabricate the windshield side supports (Moss 408-230 & 240) but I am not sure if the fold-down feature is useful. Is it?

The car is owned by a widow of the gentleman who built it, so she does not have a lot of info. It has a 1987 Ford motor, speedometer 51,067. Nice looking car. Dover OH. Asking $6000.00
