The process for uploading pics here is a little wonky and, as you’ve seen, it doesn’t seem always to work for everyone. Are you able to disconnect the steering column from the steering box? That’s just a couple bolts.Or maybe loosen or disconnect the extension rod from the VW steering column?PMOSSBERG2014-05-19 11:40:26

“Elvis” is actually an old friend of mine.
He is retired now, but at one point was one of the top ten Elvis impersonators in the USA. His stage name is Ronnie Allyn. Toured with a full backing band, back up singers, the whole nine yards. He retired a bunch of years ago.He’s a really good guy!And no, I am not making this up. -

Ed:I am wondering if it would work to take a disc and cut the correct number of windows (five?) into it leaving a full outer rim. It believe that would work to activate the proximity switch and it seems like it would be a safer design.Is there a lack of available space at the transmission end that won‘t let you put the set-up there? Who is Elvis ? I had a interesting time at hotel room 4 am screaming, yelling. Look out peep hole no one there . Step into hallway. A couple were yelling obscenities , pushing, name calling . Through my stuff in car on the road 4:30 am . Nice time at the show good to meet everyone . Hope we get larger numbers next year .

Made it back from Carlisle safe and sound. Great time, met a few of the members, nice to put a face to the names. Only 5 TD’s made it. Ed and Paul made it too but Paul brought the new Speedster. WOW!!! what a car. Wish I could afford one. NICE Ride..Elvis was there too. Interesting guy.Saw one of the speedster guys on the way home on I 70. …[Read more]
