If it moved the rear of the body up and down relative to the pan, would that correct my body height issue on the passenger side. I should have taken some before and after photos, as I think you are correct.  The passenger side did sit lower and now sits higher. 

I’m still going, stag; in a motel several miles away. If anyone has spouse cancellations or changes, and wants to share a room, I’m listening.:-)

You would do well to search this TDr forum for advice and pictures.  I converted my fronts from standard VW to Discs with wire wheels about a year ago.  Happy Jack converted from drums to discs (both with VW wheels) a few months ago.

That’s a shame…Wobby’s a trip.

Had a text conversation with Wobby last night and he let me know he will not be coming this year – Wedding and two graduations – sorry he will miss but will be here next year. He will be missed.

The threaded rod running to the top of the shock tower has nothing to do with suspension. It’s sole function is the support the rear subframe (which is under the rear splash pan fiberglass). Adjusting it would move the rear of the body up or down, relative to the VW pan.

The “pity” bit – a bit funny.

I am suspicious that my grill shell was installed a bit too low because the front edge of the hood stands about 1/4 inch proud of the grill. What’s involved in correcting that?Kall2014-04-20 22:54:31

My wife informs me that today’s event was a pity thing attractive women do. How can she be so sure and why did she take my keys?

Many times Cindy and I will be out for dinner , coffee or ice cream . When we come out there will women 50 to 70 or older looking at it they all have question . This isn’t the age group I expected to attract .

If that ever happens to me somebody better call 911 for my heart attack!  😆
