Hey Dale – finished the MGB and sold it. Back to looking for a TD. I have looked at restoring an original but I keep coming back to the thought of wanting something with more modern running gear. Thanks for adding a pair of eyes to my search. I know how resourceful you are!

Nice Ed – always plucking forward it seems. Still want to go for a ride one of these days.

Rick just got a pile of TD body parts from Wayne here local ( closing down his VW shop ) but it was a rear engine kit.

I will let Rick tell us his plans when the time comes.

How is the MGB doing?

BTW I did finish the tonneau (except for paint) and hung out my shingle offering to make these for others.

My sheet supplier was out of .050 thickness 5052 aluminum sheet so I’ll make the next one out of .040 (18 gauge) and see how that goes.

Non-update update: Merklin is still waiting to hear from the hotel. When we left it last year they agreed to move all reservations up as needed, but nothing is as-yet confirmed. I will let everyone know when I know.

I have two NOS extremely rare ( new old stock ) stainless factory original from Classic Motor Carriages / Fiber Fab false nose pieces  for MG TD replicas. B&W MG medallions also. Happy New Year. I still have an original hood and engine cover for rear engine TD also.
