I’ve still got about a half can of Simonize paste wax that I used on the Ghia. Might try that on the TD. Used to use it back in the day until they came out with Blue Coral. After that it’s been Meguiars paste wax on my truck and wife’s car. I’ll have to give this boat wax a look see.

x2 on the buffer speed. You want a slow wheel at least, and a random orbital wheel at best. Remember to mask any ridges and go back later and do them by hand.

Paul, I ran disk cleanup, then CCleaner, then fixed registry, then Avira, then Malwarebytes, then registry fixer again.  Malwarebytes found a long list of things that it removed.  If this post comes out clean, I guess I’m ok again.  If not, – I’m stumped.

Bought a bottle of the speed demon wax detailer and really like the stuff. Used it on my truck and the wife’s Tahoe and it works great with little effort. I think I’ll get a bottle of the barrier wax as well. Got it a WalMart as well.Sam

Greg, I really have to say that if you are talking about a 7000 rpm circular buffer, I would not recommend it unless you have a lot of experience using one.  It is very easy to take a giant step backwards with one and “burn” the finish.  If however, you are talking about a random orbit buffer with a motor that turns 7000 rpm you will be ok.  …[Read more]

I want to chime in again . For Christmas i’m getting a electric buffer 7,000 rpm .If I do buff out my car and use a boat polish on it to improve the looks should use a wax remover first . 13 different bidders.  It has a few visible flaws.  Relatively minor except the cracked fiberglass on the left front fender which is hard to see in the photos provided.  This one should be interesting to watch.
