Well,  I stripped off 20 years of car wax and sent off for 2 bottles of boat wax for about $50.  I buffed Bebop twice with rags wet with rubbing alcohol and a tad bit of old auto rubbing compound and wiped it off with a damp towel. I took Meguiars Marine/ RV One Step Compound #67 and applied it a little different than the elecrtic buffer instructions.  I took wet strips of cotton terry cloth towel and went over it with #67 by hand with circular motion where possible and let it dry on the car and then wiped it off with a wet towel.  First was a good improvement but not perfect so I went over it two times with the cleaner/polish compound. Then I took Meguiars Flagship premium Marine Wax and went over it twice in two days. You can do the whole car and not only one piece at a time and it is still easy to wipe off with a cotton towel. That son of a gun shined like never before and better than the day it was new. The compound even removed one oily handprint on the side of the bonnet that had been there for a long time with two additional rubs in that one place.  The dern thing looked blue from the reflection of the shy !

Smile       I will try to set these pictures up and hope it works.

Randy in Chandler Arizona, great B-bopp'in teritory. I must have the only one in the country made by Rich Industries in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, on a 1986 Ford Cortina (english ford escort) It's a 1600cc straight four cylinder front engne, 4 speed, changed from right side driver to left side with several shafts and u-joints. BEBOP because I once had an MGB with license plate MG-BEPOP in Virginia.

Wow! she looks great. I may have to break down and buy some too. I’ll have lots of time on my hands, I’ve decided to retire soon.

Randy. Is that Meguiar’s Boat Wax a kit with a series of bottles or just a single Container?

Right, like Paul said I went to Meguiars site for boat and marine products and chose the One Step Marine and RV compound and Flagship premium Marine wax. It really does deepen the color quite a bit as it shines.
