Just thought I would give a quick update on this project. The body is going together very well and we are up to Step 6. I have attached a picture of the project so far. We are documenting all our steps with lots of pictures. I do have a question about Step 6 and #3. There is an inset support bracket between the headlight T-brackets. Can anyone describe what this inset support bracket looks like. I don’t seem to have in my inventory of parts. Are there any suggestions or designs to making this inset bracket or an alternate metal bracket I could use. Maybe a metal angle bar like you use to hold garage door openers.
We had to purchase the cowl rubber strip that gets pop riveted on to the body and some fender welt but that has been about the only expense so far. Hope to get more done over the next few weeks. Stay tuned…..
