Def cool. I thought of doing this a few years ago but haven’t yet had an occasion. I’d think you could index them with a sharpie before you loosen the big nut, then just realign the marks when done. A mirror would help a lot.

FYI — MGMAGIC has sizing info listed in their conv. top listing — it gives a layout re: the dimensions of the TDr bucket that their tops fit…..

WRT a MGMagic convertible top, do not assume that all TDr buckets are the same.  My Daytona bucket is fully 2″ wider than Jack’s BCW or his CMC.

Someone has several parts listed on ebay currently.  One item is a new top for a fiber fab.

That may just be worth the hassle of getting them realigned again afterwards. Cool idea, thanks.

Nice looking car. I see you have open lovers on the front side panels. Do they lift up as part of the center hinged hood? If so, I am interested in photos.

Glad your crash wasn’t like the other car that rolled. I looked at it a few times and thought maybe I could see the car bounce, so was thinking maybe that was what made the rear wheels let loose. Hard to tell. You would know better than I.

Bill, I’ve watched the 1:25-1:33 portion of this video at least 15 times.

It seems like you were out of the turn and on the gas.

What do you attribute the spin out to?  Could it have been a couple of pebbles on the surface?

Remember what Wobby told us about 6 years ago?  “Nothing good ever came out of a car race.”  Glad to hear minimal (if any) damage.

Sorry, nothing let go. I’ve driven her since she got home and she seems just fine. We just lost traction in a section of track that wasn’t yet dried out.

The strange noises that you hear come from a remote mic that’s plugged into the GoPro. It’s stuck down into the rear body work in an attempt to eliminate the wind noise.

There is an unusual sound at 1:30 into the run immediately before you spun out.  Is that the track bar letting go??

I am convinced that car broke and then crashed, not the other way around. I bet it’s that same rear track bar/locating arm that has let loose before.
