Hey Bill,
I tried to get to your flickr page but —
The link did not work —
Sorry to hear that the weather was as bad up there as it was here in North Carolina……
There is always next year — I may have my car done by then. I don’t even have a name for the Ford TDr yet, let alone have the body back together. Bummer!! But I guess t…[Read more]

Gotta change the oil and get her seats in and then take the top and tonneau cover to our local “Over the Top” convertible top specialists. I’m going to let them handle the convertible top install and fit the tonneau cover. Almost there!

Before a bit of downpour came to my neck of the woods, I took the trickle charger off Moneypenny’s battery and cranked her up. I pulled the plugs and used my remote start switch to crank the engine over and get the oil to all the internals. With that complete I put the plugs in her and made sure the electrical was properly connected and sat on the…[Read more]

Sir Ed…you may call me “Murphy!” Why? Well the shower curtain I purchased was not quite thick enough and sagged due to the heat. It worked perfectly keeping the water out UNTIL…I took it off and poured a third of the water (that had collected in the part that sagged) onto the floor pan. But I know the curtain works and this time I spent a…[Read more]

Here are some photos from the 2018 Carlisle event. Rainy, wet and muddy would describe it. The weather kept a lot of cars away, but a good time was had by all who attended anyway.

Took my TDr off the jack stands for the season and installed a new “flame thrower” distributor and coil to replace a suspected faulty DVDA distributor. Wow. No more stalls at idle. I. can actually tune the carb and it has an effect! Feels like I have a completely different car. Took her our for a short drive around the block (about 7 miles in my…[Read more]

Several other modifications made. Removed Chevette pedals and modified Camaro pedals to fit. Added power brake booster and Camaro hydraulic clutch. Rebuilt rear end torque tube. In process of cutting out some fiberglass from the rear floor of passenger compartment so seats can be mounted about 3 inches further back. These little bumps appe…[Read more]

Here are the exhaust headers. There were for an MGB, so required some mods to make work. Also, they exit through the engine compartment side panel.
Right side required some twists to clear engine mount.
Left side was pretty straight forward.

And here is radiator mounted to shell. I just added a couple aluminum angles and put the fan as a pusher.
It is for a Datsun Fairlady and is about 17 x 17 inches. Supposed to handle up to 400 HP.

As for the head lights, check the fuse first. If fuse is blown you can try replacing it but if there is a short in the circuitry then the fuse will just blow again. If fuse doesn’t blow after replacement then there has to be an open in the circuit to the head lights.
As these cars have fibreglass bodies each electrical component has to have a g…[Read more]

Check in the Technical section of the site for the wiring schematic for your make of vehicle. It is somewhere to start however as you have noted POs have made changes. As for the signal switch, suspect the contacts in the switch may be damaged or the spring that is activated by the signal stalk is malfunctioning. You can try to repair it but given…[Read more]
