Beautiful car. If the top and side curtains are in as good a shape I think 10-12 would not be an unreasonable asking price.

Looking to sell my MG TD fiber fab Chevy based replica. Thoughts on what price these are selling for these days? It’s built on an 80’s chevette chassis/engine. 8,534 miles. Manual 5 speed. Has a newer radiator, alternator, battery, tires. A few gauges are faulty (oil pressure) but runs wel…[Read more]

Hi Amanda. Sorry it’s so kludgy to post pics here.
If the kit you have is all NOS with the parts still bagged you might get a couple grand for it. With a good VW pan (if that’s what it needs) maybe $3k or more.
As for where to sell? Damned if I know. I bought an unbuilt kit off craigslist in 2017 but since then that site seems to have become…[Read more]

These are the instructions prepared by the great Ed Ericson on posting photos on this forum.

First you go to your own thing. Upper right corner it should say something like “Howdy, Happy Jack.” Click on that and you get a drop-down menu. At the bottom it says “media.” Hover over that with your curser and you should see anot…[Read more]

Hello. I’ve got a 1975 Daytona MiGi unassembled kit that I’d like to put up for sale, but have no idea what to list it for, or even the best place to list it. I’m hoping the club would give me some guidance on pricing and location. (I’m located in Florida).
My father purchased it at least 23 years ago along with a similar kit car that was already…[Read more]

I acquired a MG-TD (Fiberfab) last summer. Poor condition. It had been sitting outside in WA state for 15 plus years. Seized motor, brakes, brake lines missing (rusted out) no interior, tires rotted with large holes in them, etc., etc… Floor board had to be replaced which was last summer project plus new brakes, shocks, rebuild steering gear…[Read more]

My once running MGTD has fallen upon hard times as have I. I’ve reached 91 years of age and can no longer maintain my project car. It’s developed wiring problems and I’m not able to bend in all the strange ways a kit car may require. The last thing I was able to do was relocate the hand brake into a useful MG like position between the pas…[Read more]

Guys
It looks like I am out this year. My wife is having surgery the week of the show so I will be helping her recover at home. It’s the least I can do since she helped me recover from my broken back. I’m fully recovered from that now.
I hope you guys have a great time and hopefully I will see you guys in October at VA Beach.

I was trying to show the dimensions of the blanking plate with a ruler, but the photo came out smaller. The ruler shows that the blanking plate is 7 inches (180 mm) long. It is 2 1/4 inches wide (60 mm).

Blake Camden replied to the topic Ignition Switch in the forum VW Based Kits 5 months ago
This is the gap that I covered and the blanking plate I brought on Ebay. Is your gap slightly wider? If so would you consider cutting out a larger chrome or stainless plate that goes behind the black plate?
cheers
Blake
