Probably could be made to fit.
I’m trying to picture your trouble. You say you have the wheel off, yes? So you should be looking at the plastic doohickey that the stalk is attached to?July 11, 2010 at 10:55 pm #241713
I got it all out and off the metal stub is broken in the metal pivot selector the book says just pull it out but it is broken and can’t get a ply-er or n/n to grab it it won’t shake out the holding screw is removed i’m going to attack it in the morning Dan

Dan, I checked my Haynes manual. It says to turn the switch to the ”off” position and pull the lever out. I can see that will not work since your’s is broke off ,I am assuming flush with the piece it fits in to.. My CHEVETTE manual shows several diagrams all of them show the lever already removed.
Try to move it by inserting a icepick in the screw hole and prying it sideways. The only other option I can think of would be to drill a hole into the end of the lever ,and use a self tapping screw to pull it out.
This may be a test of your patience, it’s going to be a delicate operation. Hope all goes well.July 12, 2010 at 12:08 pm #241715Scott A ChynowethParticipant
Dan remove the 3 screws that hold the whole blinker assemley in place, work the unit up and drill a small hole in the end opposite where it’s broke and push it out with a small ice pick. There is a snap ring inside the whole works that is holding.Even when they aren’t broke it takes a bit of force to pull the stick out.July 12, 2010 at 1:25 pm #241716
