I know…pride goeth before the fall, but this one is just too cool….

My daughter’s high school marching band has been invited to perform at half-time of the Giants-Redskins game on Dec 18.

My “little girl” Lauren, leading her band in front of 82,566 people at MetLife Stadium (well at least the ones that stay in their seats during half-time).

Paul, That verse applies to bragging on yourself. You’re  bragging on your daughter. Keep it up, she deserves it and you cannot help it.    Go  Lauren!!!!!

    That’s amazing, Paul. 80,000 people! I can’t even imagine.

Good luck to her & the band and congratulations on being exceptional.

Just way cool! And do you get to go and see them perform? And see the game?

That is great news, and it’s not bragging.  Thanks for sharing the joy.

The band (about 150 students) and the pit crew (the parents that move all their equipment) will be there. So yes, I’ll be on the field to see them perform.

Details are still unfolding. But we suspect we won’t see much of the game.

We’ve been in the stadium before. There is a “below decks” passage that
circles the entire stadium at the field level. It’s large enough for a
truck to lap the field. I suspect that’s where we will be until showtime.
