September 14, 2012 at 7:20 pm #251820Just joined the Mid-State Antique Auto Club in Massachusetts. I’ve only been to 2 meetings. This club pretty much does similar things as Greg Press’ AACA club. I’ll gain more knowledge of this club as I attend more meetings.
September 14, 2012 at 10:08 pm #251821I belong to TD Replica.com!
And the Speedster Owners club. And the Mopar Mailing List, another “virtual club”. We meet at Carlisle, and there are occasional smaller gatherings during the year, very ad hoc.
I just learned of the Mopar Madness of the Lehigh Valley (PA). I will probably hook up with them, but they meet at 10:30 a.m. on the first Sunday of each month. That’s a bit of a conflict for the guitar playing church choir boy!
From 1991 to about 2005 I was very active with the New Jersey Replicar Club. Treasurer, President a few times. Had over a hundred members WITH cars at our peak. But like a lot of volunteer groups, NJRC lost its way, and ultimately died a peaceful death. Our legacy lives on in the Speedster Owners Group. I lot of the early members of SOG are NJRC guys. And the NJRC gave them a place to hang when they first started to attend Carlisle. Much like SOG is giving TDReplica members a place to hang.

September 15, 2012 at 2:11 am #251822I belong to the local British Sports Car Club. We can even enter our cars in the British Bash car show. There are three replicas (TD types that is) in the club. Nice people, they are the ones that spotted the car that became my second replica.
September 15, 2012 at 12:39 pm #251823I am a member of K.K.O.A. kustom kemps of America. I’m a S.C. state rep for KKOA.Thats the only clup I belong to anymore.Except you guys which I sota consider a club like group.
September 15, 2012 at 12:41 pm #251824Very cool!
It’s nice that the replicas are accepted that way!
Hell, my Duchess is 30 years old this December (counting when she rolled under her own power)!
She is as vintage as any other “classic”. And discounting my recent troubles, I’m sure she has spent more time on the road and less time being worked on than an original TD

September 15, 2012 at 2:30 pm #251825I used to be in the Middle Georgia VDubbers VW club but because of lack of interest a few years later and the constant change in base personnel, the club folded. I was also in a quazi club that I hosted the Southeast Karmann Ghia Treffen . Used to hold the Karmann Ghia show at Stone Mountain but that became cost prohibitive and when I changed venue attendence dropped from 27 to 10. That is also now defunct. So the only club I’m in at the moment is TDReplica.com and I plan on hanging around till everyone tells me “And stay out!”
