    @schu

    Well from what it looks like it will be Richard, Ed, Paul and myself this time –

    anyone else coming?

    On another note – I just spoke to Greg and unless something changes he will

    not be bringing his speedie – he does not feel like it is even ready to tow.

    I guess I will have a right seater again.

    Not sure if I will be driving or flat tow again.

    Looking forward to seeing you guys. Lots of ups and downs ( mostly downs )

    this year, but plan on having a good time. Sounds like we have something to

    talk about – see you guys there – Richard on Thursday and the rest Friday.

    Safe travels everyone!

    On the up side, if it’s raining Saturday night, I can provide warm, dry transportation to dinner!

    Drive carefull, hope the weather gets better for you lucky ones going.  I’ll be there in sprit this year, hopefully I’ll make it next year.

     If anyone is going close to the I70-I75 intersection in Ohio and needs a rest stop or a wrench and a dry garage.   I’m only 5 minutes from there.  Usually have some cold ones on hand.  Your welcome to stop by, I’m still off work with my shoulder so I should be around the house here.   Send me a pm and I’ll give you my cell number to have on hand.  Montie

    Tex, go to the Carlisle web site to see the deal. At this point you’d wait in line a bit and register as you enter. looks like a similar deal to parking at a sporting event (from my one-time experience).

    You go in Gate 3, pay for your sticker, and then do what the guys standing in the roads tell you. They’ll direct you to our little covey next to the Speedster/Spyder contingent.

    You want in for reals contact East Coast Bruce and see if he’ll let you in on the dinner Saturday (and/or Friday?) You probably have time.

    Lodging is up to you; I don’t know how tough it is to find a hotel there by now, but probably doable. Rich Wobby might could help too but I won’t speak for him.

    Do it, bro!

    PM-ing you on the contact info

    @pmossberg

    Yes, you can trailer in.

    Carlisle provides a parking area for the tow vehicles and trailers.

    There will be an additional fee for the tow vehicle & trailer.

    OMG, this is funny. A whole POT of coffee!

    Cory Drake took the photo and wrote this on the Speedster forum:

    “I got a decent shot of Rich, as we had breakfast Friday. We went to the Middlesex Diner, and he promptly ordered up a pot of coffee. It took a couple hard blinks for the waitress to comprehend he really HAD meant a pot — a full pot in addition to a cup — of Joe. We had some good conversation that morning. Cool, fun guy. “

    You Tube compilation of some of the none-too-professional video and camaraphone pics I got.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3TZTg6xH7M

    Should be watchable in a few minutes.

    EDIT: Watchable, not hear-able, as the Tube now apparently stripps out ripped soundtracks automatically. Can’t say I blame them, but kind of too bad for me since I spent a bit of time synching up video to the raw beats of The Shys’ “Call In The Cavalry.” If you have it on your ipod or something, start the video then start the song and you’ll be close. Sorry all.

    And with all this chatter, I got home and Mrs Wobby thought we should do some yard work. Who needs a Pickup.

     And so as to quickly digress into a real lonely space of my brain that absolutly no one wants to visit regularly, Yes a pot of coffee.

    I hate having coffee in those little cups always having to have the waitress come back time and time again.

    Paul for some reason I’m having a hard time posting pics will try again tonight

    Ed good pimms, Let me know if maryland will happen.

    Good to hear from you, Richard. Looks like some of the gang are going to meet in Chambersburg MD when the Great Race passes through on June 14. They’re headed your way though, so you might want to meet up with them a few days later.

    Sorry to hear about your amblance. Do you really get engine damage before the water comes through the exhaust ports? Cause if not, and if the water line wasn’t much higher than your pic, I’d think you’d be OK.

    I think I read every post in this one, but I never found out where Carlisle is.  What state is it located in?

    As far as long drives, go, I made it most of the way from Seattle to Phoenix, but had several breakdowns along the way. That extended my total trip from 10 days to a full two weeks, and she still isn’t running again yet.
