Easy fender removal?

I’m getting my Fiberfab MG on a VW chassis ready to be painted in a couple of weeks. I’d really like to replace the fender Welting, because it is really sad shape.  While I’ve got the rear fenders off fairly easily, the running boards and front fenders are a problem that I do not see an easy solution for. Has anyone in this group found a way to do this without lifting the body off. There is no access to most of the nuts holding these parts on. I’ve considered cutting the old welting off and glueing new ones in place, but I think that’s a shabby method! Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks – Gregg
