I’m learning to navigate this site as I am a brand-new member. Delighted to have found this Club and to be among fellow enthusiasts.
My most recent new family member is a 1986 British Coach Works 52 “Ascot.” My limited research so far has shown the name “Ascot” to have been used sporadically by BCW, the official designation for this car being a BCW 52. How romantic.
I’m sorting out this little critter now, aware (the previous owner told me) that it needs radiator. The car is low mileage, but at 40 years of age I am also going to have the timing belt replaced.
—-Can anyone recommend a good supplier for replacement parts for the Chevette 1.6 engine? Aftermarket items can frequently be substandard.
—-Has anyone had experience in replacing the radiator/timing belt on 1.6 Chevy-based TD replicas? My mechanic tells me all the front body panels need to be removed to allow access. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
