I Have a Daytona Migi built by Daytona Fiberglass Canada in Delta BC. Were they all built there or just some??? I thought they were built in Holly Hills FLorida?
February 7, 2011 at 10:52 pm #243674Hi Bob,
Welcome aboard. This is a great group. Nice folks. And a lot of accumulated knowledge that would be useless anywhere else!
I’ll repeat here what I sent you via email.
My best guess is that Daytona Fiberglass Canada in Delta BC was an assembler, possibly “official”, but not necessarily.
The only Canada based TD kit manufacturer I know of is Prototype Research & Development Ltd. They are still in business.

February 7, 2011 at 11:08 pm #243675After I wrote that, I Googled
“Daytona Fiberglass Canada in Delta BC”The search results included a number of fiberglass and boat companies in Delta BC. So another possibility is that maybe, just maybe, Daytona provided molds and licensed production of the kits to Daytona Fiberglass Canada.
This is pure speculation on my part!

February 8, 2011 at 1:20 pm #243676importation of kit cars a problem in Canada? Easier if built in-country?
February 8, 2011 at 3:23 pm #243677Yes actually.
Canada is very fussy about importing kits

February 8, 2011 at 7:28 pm #243678What about importing kits from Canada? The 35 Auburn Speedster made byPrototype Research & Development Ltd. in Canada looks sweet. newkitman40582.8117361111

The issue is Canadian regulations regarding the importation of unassembled vehicles INTO Canada
