–or any old MG-looking pile of junk, to commemorate the death, and celebrate the remarkable life, of Tom Magliozzi, aka “Click,” of Click & Clack, the Tappet Brothers.
He died a year ago Tuesday. He was one of us, and we’re each one of him. Show the colors, boys. And remember to laugh, cuz it’s funny!Take a selfie while your at it. Maybe we’ll send them in to Doug Berman.October 29, 2015 at 9:03 pm #266007I really enjoy the big hearts in this club. I think its a great idea and Im going to try to get Eliza Jane on the road by then. It sure will be something to shoot for.
My wife and I still enjoy Click and Clack every sunday on the way home from Church. The stories and chuckels are timeless.
Hey heres another idea…if your car drives or not beep your MGs horn at
5:00 (the start of Happy Hour) in honor of Tommy. Then listen hard and see if you live close to another member withoutk nowing it. The cool thing is most of our horns are hard to miss. AHOOGA!October 29, 2015 at 10:20 pm #266008🙂
November 3, 2015 at 9:43 pm #266009Well, it was a glorious drive into work today in Bridget. I’ve decided that 52 degrees and sunny is the perfect weather for a top-down cruise. Much better even than 78 degrees and sunny. I set my phone in a clip behind me and put the vid recorder on. It ran out of megabytes after a few minutes, so I wasn’t able to do the three-camera-angle production I’d hoped for, but I grabbed a couple still shots from it.
(Note my Volts gauge. It perked-up to 13+ after a few minutes on the road)Got to rider her out around the block around lunch time too.The only problem was on the way home. Instead of the leisurely 40-minute commute I was on the road for 2:15, crawling all the way. I-95 N was shut down after an accident this afternoon so everyone who would have been there was on little RT 7, just ahead of me. Left work at 5:40 and got home at 7:55 p.m.The good news: Bridget’s headlights seem to be aimed pretty well. And they work fine. How’d y’all do?November 4, 2015 at 12:34 am #266010Heck. I read about this before and was going to do it too, weather got me down I guess. After a few rainy days it just looked “dreary” (actual word for weather today used on TV). Was really a big improvement to have the rain stop but somehow wasn’t enough for me to think about driving the old car. I will try for Thursday before the bad weekend weather.
I’m sure I’ve said before how I like that dash!November 4, 2015 at 3:34 am #266011I looked at my broken car in the garage and shook my head…

"Drive Happy"November 4, 2015 at 11:16 am #266012Well, I rode the TDr to work yesterday afternoon because the weather was great but I neglected to take any pics. Â I’ll do it again today. Â I’ve been riding the Royal Enfield in the mornings and the TDr in the afternoons to get as much riding/driving time in as possible before Winter gets here.
