I saw this article online today about other kit cars that are currently available. No mention of the MG TD, as I was hoping to see, though.
More fun–and maybe a bit more pocketbook-friendly. MG fans have these guys. Not sure if they’re still around; believe the whole company was for sale a short while ago. Miata-based, I believe.
My fave are these Jag C-cars. Suffolk in GB (and Proteus) seem to have the thing wrapped. But a bit spendy for my wallet at $110,000+ per copy, less shipping and handling.
Harden is a little cheaper ($64,000, “on the road,” they say) but it’s still about 10x what I could hope to manage (and doesn’t appear to include such critical road-going items as the engine, which is listed as an $11,000 option on the build sheet). Not sure about those guys. looked over the whole web site and still don’t know where they’re located.
All-in-all, I’m going to have to fall back on my personal slogo:
