    A quick pre-Carlisle drive….

The esses around the 4:40 mark were taken in third gear, between 50 and 55 mph.

    Beautiful day in eastern PA!

Yes, it was a great day. Nice stretch of road, Paul. Took my beast out for a stretch as well. Took it out through French Creek State Park down to Roy’s brother-in-law and back. My wife followed me in her Roadster. She claims my brake lights and turn signals were not visible in the sunlight. ??? All we got to do is get to Carlisle and back. See you Friday.

What taillights do you have? VW?

I agree with your wife…they are pretty dim.

After the short spin in the video, I went out for a much longer ride. Keeping my fingers crossed that it is as nice this weekend!

I don’t think mine are real visible either when the sun is on them. I’m trying to get into the habit of hand signaling.

What about the LED bulbs that fit in the tail lights?  Wouldn’t the LEDs shine brighter in daylight? Just wondering is all. newkitman2013-05-12 20:41:46

Yes. I think most of the LED kits are brighter–at least when seen straight-on.
