There is a car on E-bay that looks like the one Pink MG built and later sold to another member who sold it to someone else. From all I’ve read about it ,it’s a quality ride. The ad lists a bunch of ”new” stuff but I seem to remember hearing about most of them from the previous owners. It’s item # 220743494645 if any one is interested. It’s in Annandale,Va.The bid is at about $2500 with several days remaining.
February 23, 2011 at 4:22 pm #243726Yes. That was Mark’s (pinkmg) car.

February 24, 2011 at 12:17 pm #243727Should I have bid??? I sent the guy a PM.
The auction ended yesterday w/no bids. It looks like the chrome, including the grille and shell, are rusting too . Plus he said it had an aluminum coated Bugpack exhaust which Bill removed to install another set up. He also started by saying it was a “Speedster kit”.
That car was a great riding, handling, stopping and quick little car.
Larry was right…except for a few things like the “trunk” box, line lock, powder coated engine tin (Bill Collins), all the stuff is what I installed during the 1998-2000 build.
BTW…as is common, he listed it under MG’s not Kit/Replicas…that must piss-off the TD puritsts!

March 10, 2011 at 10:36 pm #243728Yep thats Angelica? alright as it did go to Annandale VA.. too bad I
didn’t know it was again for sale and starting at that low price I would
of BID as I really miss that car.. BUT to Nothing was rusted when he
picked it up.. And I had given him a lot of extras and info on Joining
this forum .. which he never did..wasn’t to sharp on MGTD’ s or Kit
cars .Just had a whim that he wantes an MGTD and once he had it?
just let it go. guess his?tree?was missing a branch or two.

March 10, 2011 at 10:56 pm #243729Aww see he ended the Sale … Mayby realized with no reserve it
would sell low and he’d lose money.Or sold it locally? or renewed hi
interest like me… I was temped though… Till Eileen said NO WAYBill Collins40613.3937962963
March 14, 2011 at 11:12 am #243730Well it’s back on E-bay Motors again. This time it’s in Pa.,looks like it has been polished up and the rust removed. The new seller is still advertising the things Mark did in 2000 as though they were done recently. It is still a great little car but it seems to be getting swapped arround by speculators who are only interested in making money . It’s item# 250788122982 if anyone is interested. The bidding is at about $2000 this morning.
March 14, 2011 at 1:47 pm #243731Even if it’s a bit the worse for wear it looks a lot nicer than this one, which is currently bidding at about $8,000.
BTW, with 5400 miles on it, stuff done 10 years ago (engine? trans? ball joints & etc?) basically is new. No?
edsnova40616.5754861111March 14, 2011 at 5:29 pm #243732Ed,
I think Bill’s old car is the one Alan was going to turn into a speedie – glad
it will stay a TD w/ the new buyer. He could not find a new body. Note Alan’s
front yard.
March 14, 2011 at 10:43 pm #243733Really? Is that the Clock residence? I only been there that one time & hardly noticed the house what with all the Porsches & people & snacks and things.
I’m glad it’ll stay as is too. Looks like a great car.
March 15, 2011 at 5:54 pm #243734Yes. Alan is drclock on the speedster forum

March 16, 2011 at 6:02 pm #243735Just caught the Ad myself .. How the heck did Alan get the car? It was on
sale last month then taken down ..Maybe Alan made the guy an offer off line
I notice someone took the LUCAs lamp covers ..They are very collectable and
hard to find.and cost an arm and a leg. And Alan brags about the Great heat
.. That was my work .. straight pipes to under the seats. Actually too much
heat ,,And if it still has only 5400 miles on the speedo if I remember right it
was in the low 5000s when I sold it two yrs ago.. And it had almost 5000
when i bought it from Mark..Ya after ten yrs its still looking good. Someone
will get a very good runner and holds the road good n stops on a dime
