Instructions have been posted several times. But questions continue to come in.
So here is another attempt:In the text entry pane for a new thread, click the photo icon:If you are replying to an existing post, the photo icon does not appear in the quick reply box. You must first click the Full
Reply Editor icon:In the resulting window, you will see the photo icon in the toolbar.
When you click the Photo Icon, you will be presented with a pop-up window titled ???Image
Properties???Note that images must be jpg, jpeg, gif or png, and have a
maximum file size of 1.0 MBIf you have already uploaded files, they will be in the pane
on the top left.To upload a new file, click the ???Choose File??? button.
You will be presented with a Windows Explorer pop-up.
Navigate to the file you want, highlight it, and click open.
You will be returned to the Image Properties window, the
location of your file will be noted.Click Upload.
This will upload the file to your Photo Gallery, and also
embed it in the post.Click OK to return to the new post or reply post.
At this point, you may cancel the post. The file will remain
in your gallery.Or of course, complete your post.
If you want to embed a picture that is already stored
online, without uploading the file to the TDReplica site, you may also use “img” tags. Between the tags, you paste the URL. Most picture storage
sites, like Photobucket and flickr, have links to copy the code.An alternate to the above, if you are not in a thread and
merely want to upload pictures for later use, you may click the Member Control
Panel link, upper left, by the Gear symbol. On the Member Control Panel, click the File Manager tab.
The File Explorer tab shows all previously uploaded files.
Click the New Upload link, and follow a process similar to the above (navigate to
a picture on your computer, select it and upload it).I hope this helps!

May 10, 2016 at 5:20 pm #268023OK, thanks for the tutorial.
How about one now on how to post pictures? 😀
Seriously, this should be a great help. Thanks for taking the time to do this.
May 10, 2016 at 9:09 pm #268024I keep getting “error inserting picture in current location”

Would you send me a private message or email me with more detail. To figure out what’s going wrong, I really need micro level detail of exactly what steps you followed at at which point it errored out.
Maybe email would be better, you’d be able to include screen shots in an email.

May 11, 2016 at 3:56 pm #268026Paul, for its worth I tried the above procedure, but couldn’t get past the first step which is ..click on the Full Reply Editor icon. When I click on it I don’t get the window “Image Properties”, I just get another blank reply window. Is there any way to make the process simpler? I can post pics on other websites with a 1,2,3 process. 1. click on the reply window and write what you want and move the cursor to where you want to insert the pic in the post, 2. click on attachment icon or attach pic icon, 3. select the pic from my pic file by double clicking on it and it is inserted in the reply.

May 11, 2016 at 6:47 pm #268027Sam,
You missed a step. But rereading my initial post, I see why. I wasn’t clear. Thanks also to John (jebarry) who posted a clarification. I have edited the initial note. Hopefully it is clearer now. Here is what was unclear in the original post:The image upload icon does not appear in the quick reply box.But the Full Reply editor does not take you the the Image Properties pop-up. You need to click the Full Reply Editor, and on the resulting screen, you will see the image upload icon.PMOSSBERG2016-05-11 19:10:49

May 11, 2016 at 6:52 pm #268028And one other comment to Sam…
No. there is no way to make the process simpler. The WebWiz software is not ours. It is prepackaged forum software that the founder of this site chose to use. That said, we are looking a a complete refresh of the entire site. That work may include new forum software. True to my own word, when the time comes, I will be addressing that initiative in a new thread.Paul Mossberg

May 11, 2016 at 7:32 pm #268030PS..I’ve always said I should hire out to SW companies as I am so not good at this stuff, I’ll come across some step that was missed/unclear or some other problem. I can safely say that I have never purchased any devise that had “plug and play” SW and not had to get their tech support people involved to get it to work. Now you know what you are dealing with……

May 12, 2016 at 9:49 am #268032Noticed my new notebook/tablet with Windows 10 and the Edge web browser has trouble like that too. Likewise for Emoticons. This site says…Error inserting object in current location.Only get that unless something is already written into this message box.test:And even so I still get that error first.yet this emoticon is added without the error, except for into empty message box when it does error.Must be something about those popup windows. Hmmm. Checked again and failed to put picture at end of sentence, needed to be a new line instead (removed that one myself).May 12, 2016 at 10:12 am #268033I wish I could recreate this.

re: “check

Do you have to do that to get a picture to load?
Sam, are you sure your picture is smaller than 1mg?

May 12, 2016 at 11:31 am #268034I consistently get the error message in Internet Explorer, but it does correctly upload and insert the picture any way. I’ve just learned to ignore the message…

May 12, 2016 at 4:12 pm #268038I guess I’m just not meant to post a pic. I was going to try it again, but had to search for the steering wheel thread I had responded to earlier, so entered the same info I had before in the adv search and got “no results found”(tried it this morning as well with same result)……same exact inputs I had used before, so go figure.

"If one thing matters, everything matters" - from the book The ShackMay 12, 2016 at 8:34 pm #268045Paul, yes that is the thread. The cursor is in the comment box before I try to post the pic. When I get the pic uploaded, I pulled the window aside to see if the cursor was still in the comment box…it wasn’t so I clicked on the box and went back to the upload window and the cursor is gone from the comment window. I hit ok and still get an error.
