You’ll be missed, Roy. Jack, are you in?
I’ve done a couple on line searches for hotels in VA Beach with private parking and the list is pretty slim. The Oceanfront comes up as reasonable compared to other pricing.

I have not booked accommodations. I have registered for the show. If you can find a deal on a Hotel, I’m in.

Step 1) Panhard Rod. This will keep the body centered over the rear axle.
Step 2) Get rid of the cut down leaf springs. Look under the rear axle spring perch and you’ll probably find they are already broken.
Step 3) Replace the springs with adjustable trailing arms. You can build mounting plates and use the existing mounting points…[Read more]

They just posted official results. Raw times, I placed 85th out of 106. Average speed 56.9.
37.14 seconds behind first.
A lot of information on this report. If you open it, I’m running in Specials, S3. One of the last classes l…[Read more]

Attempt 2.
I prepped the car as best I could. I opted to NOT flat tow the car after last year’s debacle. I put the race tires on here at the house and drove it up. It’s less than 20 miles. It looked pretty much like the Clampett’s truck.
We made it to Registration OK. On the way up it started running rough and getting hot. I though I had that…[Read more]

billnparts replied to the topic Considering new radiator for heat issues in the forum Chevy/Ford Kits 5 years, 11 months ago
The Chevette manual reproduced here is showing the original Chevette radiator being used. A cross flow unit with side tanks.
Michael, can you jump in here and help Bob out? I’m of no help on the Chevette model.

I’ve taken the seat back and put it up on the package tray. Cut it down for height. I’ve also taken a few inches out of the seat base.

Took the car out Sunday afternoon during the recent heat wave. With air temps in the mid 90’s I put about 25 miles on it. The temp gauge just creeped up on 210* when I got it home. Considering how hot out it was, I was pleased. I was also cooked.
Tonight I made a paper template of the hood which will go to the fabricator for louvre production.

The original Mustang radiator was a 2 core, which is what I am currently running. I’ve saved that link for the 3 core for future reference. Last Saturday morning when it was cool I drove mine to work apx 17 miles. By the time I got there the temp gauge was just climbing over 200*. Before I came home in the heat of the day I dumped (2) bottles of R…[Read more]

Except for taping off the limits for top and bottom, mine were done freehand. Just took out what looked right.
