Yes, MG Magic would be my first suggestion for lights and grille. With the fenders, give repairing them a shot. Fiberglass is not that difficult to work with. I have redone mine several times over the years. While flat towing in the wet I jack knifed it and destroyed everything forward of the windshield. A few weeks of work and it’s hard to tell…[Read more]

OK! It’s on!
Over the years this event has become an annual event for several members. We would really like to see more members add this event to their calendars. Rockstar parking and they group us all on the tarmac in front of the hangers. In years past we have all stayed at the Oceanfront Hotel on the…[Read more]

If you have a London Roadster built on a VW platform you very likely have a VW Bug steering box, not a rack & pinion setup like an MG TD or a Pinto,

I race my V8 TD and often remove the windshield while doing so. Wind buffeting is much less with it off and just running a Brooklands. Don’t know if that is an option for you.

Congrats on the new whip, Bill.
Some guys have made behind-the-seat wind screens like you see on Boxsters and such to ameliorate the reverse blow-through you experience in open cars at speed.
This is a bit of an arts and crafts project but very simple in principle, and reasonably effective.
My solution is to stay off the interstate highways,…[Read more]

This might be more coherent.
First you go to your own thing. Upper right corner it should say something like “Howdy, Happy Jack.” Click on that and you get a drop-down menu. At the bottom it says “media.” Hover over that with your curser and you should see another drop-down menu with “albums,” “photos” “videos.” Click on “photos.”
That shou…[Read more]

It seems no one has posted anything in weeks. Here goes…How I spent the weekend of June 21-22.
We started with fantastic weather. A bit warm but ok. Sunday at lunch the rain started. Intermittent showers that varied in intensity. Luckily, my run group had just finished and were returning to our pits.
Here is a run from Saturday morning. The…[Read more]

I bought a roll of black marine carpet from Lowes or Home Depot. On part of the floor it’s laid over 1/2-inch foam padding, the rest it’s glued on with 3M Super 77. Real TDs all had black low pile carpet from the factory (not loop pile, no edge bindings) so this method is actually pretty “period correct” as well as being stupid-cheap.
Take your…[Read more]

As I will be towing my car to leave at the show field, I’ll have my Subaru to transport those who want to avoid any rain.

OK everyone I’ve routed a nice pre-dinner cruise for Thursday to Grandpa’s Love Shack (same place as last year’s Friday run). Gonna step off from the hotel about 4:30 and do about an hour loop ending at the restaurant. It’ll be a short trip back to the hotel unless you want to go back the way we came.
Right now I’ve got me a…[Read more]

Beautiful car. If the top and side curtains are in as good a shape I think 10-12 would not be an unreasonable asking price.

Hi Amanda. Sorry it’s so kludgy to post pics here.
If the kit you have is all NOS with the parts still bagged you might get a couple grand for it. With a good VW pan (if that’s what it needs) maybe $3k or more.
As for where to sell? Damned if I know. I bought an unbuilt kit off craigslist in 2017 but since then that site seems to have become…[Read more]
