Here’s a copy of Ed’s instructions concerning posting of photos. Too many steps, but that’s what it takes.
“First you go to your own thing. Upper right corner it should say something like “Howdy, Happy Jack.” Click on that and you get a drop-down menu. At the bottom it says “media.” Hover over that with your curser and you should see another drop…[Read more]

Ha! You appeared a bit exited uncrating her. I hope you have a lot of fun years with it.
A few years ago a fellow from Nova Scotia drove his TF replica down for the Spring show in Carlisle, PA. Any chance of seeing it there?

Why does it seem there is never enough room or time?
Good Luck.

billnparts replied to the topic Has anyone replaced the Chevette rear end w/something newer? in the forum Site 6 years, 11 months ago
Not familiar with the Chevette rear suspension. If it uses leaf springs, then you should be able to swap anything that will physically fit. If the spring perches and overall width is compatible, go for it. Try to stay with comparable bolt pattern with the wheels. Get a rear with disc brakes if you can.

That grill shell looks pretty darn good under the circumstances. At least from this angle it does.

Well I tried to unfold my grille shell and beat it into something usable. I took shears and removed the right side top corner. With some duct tape it somewhat took shape. Still didn’t like it. While fuming over that I removed the wiper mechanism. The hood had come back and pointed the wiper pivot vertical. Cut it out and folded it back into…[Read more]

I posted your dilemma on another forum. Its early yet, but the best response so far is to get it registered in another state with less strict requirements (Vermont or Maine?), then simply transfer it to MO.

These are small prices for what you’re looking at. Maybe spend $100 with the lawyer first and fashion the deal thusly:
You sign a contract with the seller promising to pay $2500 WHEN the car is titled, with $500 earnest money fronted.
Seller petitions for the title, with you and your lawyer’s help. You pay any court/legal costs.
???
Profits.

What a terrible problem!
Best to get a bill of sale from the seller and work from there. In most states you can get a title–eventually–but it might be a slog if you don’t have a manufacturers certificate of origin or a pretty complete list of donor parts and prices paid.
One way I’ve seen people move this issue, if the Dept. of Motor Vehicles…[Read more]
