Bill, looks to me like you should rethink using the pulley as is, with the chip missing.  ….or you could make it round again with some easy lathe work.

News Flash:  Just heard from George,  he says that Rock Star parking is 1/2 sold out already.

Apparently they had to “cut back on Rock Star parking” for some reason.  Please register early.  He is trying to hold a block of space for us, but it’s a bit iffy.  No promises.

Please don’t forget to register for Rock Star parking.  I am arranging that we can all be together with prime time parking, on the asphalt, right in front of the hangars, regardless of what interesting auto you bring.  (This assumes that we all arrive together “parade-like”.)

I agree with all of the above.  I think that you are possibly needing to adjust the castor (caster) angle so that it is slightly positive.  Castor is what gives the car directional stability.  Excessive Castor may make it slightly harder to turn the wheel and park but that does not seem to be your problem.  Also, excessive tire pressure may giv…[Read more]

Greg, I didn’t look generators up but a few years ago, I found that a new (rebuilt) starter (NAPA) was cheaper than having mine rebuilt.

Good eye Ed.  Yep it was me “another day older and deeper in debt” driving a silver Mercury Mariner.

I will add that Ed (edsnova) was driving it like he meant it, dodging in and out of traffic like the other cars were traffic cones on an autocross track……..Looking real good Ed.
