There’s always more to do, Mike.
While the tank’s out, make sure you inspect the steering column crush cage minutely. These are great safety items but after 50-60 years they tend to crack from metal fatigue—particularly if they’re not perfectly in line with the rag joint and the steering box…which they almost never are.
You never see it. At l…[Read more]

Hey folks I just spoke to Greta at the hotel. We are set, hospitality room is as usual, invoking “Speedster Owners Group” should get you in with us. Call the front desk at <span style=”font-weight: 400;”>(717) 766-9006</span> and if there’s trouble check in with Greta Bowring directly (717) 458-0531

Thanks all. Bill tells me the normal Hotel (Courtyard Marriott in Camp Hill) does not yet have a Speedster Special deal. Al Merklin of the Speedster group is on it, so registration and (possibly) a reduced rate should be set fairly soon.

Hey folks, how many can we count on for Carlisle this year?
My old droogie Alan Merklin, who has traditionally handled accommodations, Is asking about it over on The Speedster board.
He wants an idea of the head count so the hotel knows how many rooms to set aside.

edward ericson replied to the topic Parts interchangeability ? in the forum General Discussion 2 years, 8 months ago
Caveat: this interchangeability is between Ford and VW of the same brand kit. So Fiberfab to Fiberfab, Dutchess to Dutchess and Allison to Allison. If you have a MiGi VW and buy a British Coach Works or other brand dashboard it won’t fit.

Yeah Gregg. The TD Group attached itself to the Speedster Owners Club some years ago and those guys blew the Carlisle event out to as early as Wednesday with countryside drives and other field trips and a banquet at the end.
At its peak there were about 100 people at the banquet and awards ceremony, but the past few years have been much…[Read more]

Hey guys I just signed up. Remember to do it before Jan 3 to get $9 off the $45 weekend pass. Go here to do likewise if you’re into it.
The hotel is the same again this year–Courtyard by Marriott.
You can reserve your room by emailing MarriottResLink@marriott.com. If that proves glitchy you can call the hotel and tell them you’re with the…[Read more]
