When I was 20 years old I had a 1965 Ford Falcon with a 289 in it . It did a lot of pinging . I was told it was cheap gas . I assumed it was.

I bought a spare tire cover and covered the spare tire .I started having overheating problem immediately. Since I liked the cover I asked around and decided to cut a 3 X 10 rectangle on the top of the engine cover and bought a grate to cover it . It looks nice and run about 180 to 220 degrees .

Your engine looks like mine . I could never figure out the hose that goes from the fan shroud to the carb so I replaced it with a air filter . The holes in the shroud is an easy fix . Go to your local hardware buy expandable drain plugs take the car with you to get a good fit . They look good and they are cheap . In my opinion plugging those holes…[Read more]

NO oil filter on my London Roadster either . There is a U-Tube video on how to install one . I have tried lots of different oils . Amsoil ,Royal Purple , Lucas racing oil etc . I am partial to Brad Penn 20 w 50 . You need a high zinc oil . When I made the switch to Brad Penn the oil temp ran 180 to 200 degrees

Jberry is right. Make sure you have some kind of towing package . Either AAA or maybe your collectors insurance company . There was a lengthy discussion here about the one that is the best . Something that happened to me . I broke down called insurance company, they sent a tow truck where I was told we couldn’t ride in the truck . I called my…[Read more]

Had the same problem with my LR . coil good ,fuel filters good , coil good . I’m assuming u have a pct34 carb . Remove the top of the float bowl . The part you removed has a pin that sets on the float that controls the gas height . Work it up and down a 100 times put it back on the float bowl as you are tighting it tap the top with a screw…[Read more]
