This time of year in Vermont, morning commutes can get a wee bit chilly with the top off.

HappyJack,
After this morning’s drive in (no top on the car and 42 when I left my house) do you have any info on heated seats? I might see if I can retrofit them.

Bob-
Not sure this is an option for you, but I purchased a bluetooth amplifier on amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072JJNSLX/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) so I can run music off of my phone (downloaded, spotify etc). I have this hard wired in to my fuse cluster and placed between my seats. If I want to restore the…[Read more]

Folks-
How do you answer the common “what year?” question that seems to pop up while in passing in a parking lot? Do you just give them the standard “52” and keep moving or do you go into more detail (i.e. it is a 1952 replica)?

Mine does the same thing (CMC on a VW frame) I am only 10mph off though and reading slow (doing 50 gauge shows 40).

Hey folks –
My CMC has the generic TD grille badge and I am looking to replace it with a MG octagon. Which is the correct version? I am seeing a creme and brownish/maroon and a black and white.

Folks-
As my TDr has become my daily driver M-F, I am wondering what folks do for a center console – more specifically, what do you do to hold that morning cup of lifer juice (coffee)? My TDr is VW based and the hand brake is well forward of the shifter, giving me a space between the seat bottoms where a cup holding contraption of some sort w…[Read more]

I am using an incandescent bulb – the original bulb was blown when I got the car.
Trying to figure out how excite the winding on the Motorola alternator I have. B+ wire to the field terminal?
I have wired the alt lamp directly to terminal 15 on the coil and still get no light nor any charge – even at close to 3k RPM.
For sake of full…[Read more]

Hey folks-
Having an alternator issue / alt warning light issue that I can’t figure out. My TD is based on a 74 VW. The alt warning light was disconnected when I picked it up and obviously the ammeter was showing a constant discharge.
The alternator is an external Voltage Regulator type and the brushes all seem good. The D+ lead goes to the a…[Read more]

Found one on MG Magic. Are you able to see out of the rear of the car pretty well with the soft top on?

Thanks.
I will have to give that a try. This car is a dream to drive (more so than the 39 Dodge sedan I sold to buy it) being able to see where I am going to only improve the experience! Lol.

Hey folks-
I just acquired my car and have found that the windshield mounted rear view mirror is a pain in the neck and creates a significant blind spot when driving. I would like to remove it and replace it with a dash mount. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do that with out damaging the glass?
