Hey Phil, when you join the registry (and Pete later) I will need to add another country to the graphic.
I guess I need to get started on that.

Pete, you’re welcome,
Good question…I would think it would fit your trailer since they seem to crate stuff so tightly. It would even be worth the cost just to have all new spare parts for a Fiberfab.
I’ll maintain a watch just in case this one doesn’t work out.
Good luck!

Groncher,
Take a look at this NY kit. It may still be available. It is just the kit for a VW based vehicle. Don’t know if getting the kit and building it in Canada would make a difference, or if you’re looking for turn-key.

Paul, it’s tough to do, especially when you are so thankful for the TDReplica and this site,
.
Groncher, I just remembered that Bill Collins has his fabulous VW powered replica running on ebay right now. She’s a beauty.

Hi Groncher,
Welcome aboard. I didn’t have a TD replica when I joined the Yahoo group (somewhat part of this site). It was in my posting where I mentioned that I did not have one, but some day I would. Another member just happened to read the post and sold me my TD Replica. I hope this works for you too. I am but 6 foot tall and I do fit in my…[Read more] -

I guess my car is cheap and tacky. I’ll be sure to tell my best friend with the Gazelle it’s okay for his car to be cheap and tacky.

Dan,
When I grew up in Knoxville, I loved Cherokee. To show my age, Gatlinburg was a fraction of what it is today. I remember two little diners, one close to the park entrance on the right side that was very good, a few motels and a handful of shops. A sleepy little town. Today is a different story indeed. Since I don’t drive my car in the rain, I…[Read more] -

I believe the fees for the hosting of this wonderful site will be due December 1st. That is really soon. If I understand correctly FrankieD has been bearing the weight of this. We need to be sure that all the expenses are well covered by us and not by Frank.
I, for one, will be sending a check to the address listed on the left side of the screen.…[Read more] -

Ringo,
Thanks for the site, they have some great products! I wonder if this link as well as the wiring harness link from Greg can be put in the links section of this site? Would be very handy.

Ringo,
Where did you get your turn indicators and high beam indicator? I will be replacing mine when I rework my dash. The dash board that I made for her a few years ago got damaged on one end so that needed repairs. I got a nice new radio that has a popout handle so you can pull the entire unit out of it’s in-dash carrier. When the radio is out,…[Read more] -

Ringo,
I figure while she is down, might as well go all out. Greg has done an awesome job on his wiring and I am inspired to clean up my under dash mess while the dash is out of the car. I have already started with the hard piping. The hoses under the dash were impossible to get to and were shot anyway. I’ll install a new double heater shut off…[Read more] -

Rich,
I kept having those thoughts myself. The only thing that keeps me thinking differently is that the motor was locked up even after I took the starter off. The locked motor may have damaged the starter? At least it’s an inexpensive fix. I had understood that a Ford starter is good until it suddenly isn’t. Right now the inside of the car is…[Read more]

UPDATE:
Ringo, you’ll probably beat me getting back on the road. My starter gave it up. Everything was good to go, but the starter kicked once, made a terrible noise, and now is dead. Checked all the cables and they are ok. Put the starter on the bench, direct connected a battery to it, and it just hums and tries, but without any movement. It…[Read more]

I’m with Dan, from now on, I’ll save the bucks and get out the sander too. On my Olds station wagon new rotors are only $1 more each than having the old ones turned, heck, for 2 bucks more I always went for the new ones and how have several dandy old rotor weights laying around for odd jobs that need some weighs added
. By the way…they don’t…[Read more]

It was withdrawn from Craig’s List also. He probably sold it locally, but he didn’t state it was for sale locally in his description. I am not for sure if you have to state it.

Thanks, very interesting, very enlighting. Explains how my wife rear-ended a car after a new (bad) brake job, course spiral grooves. Both rotors were replaced by the body shop and the car stops fine now. Glad to know the story behind the rotors. I didn’t know. Thanks Paul,

Larry,
Did you see the final bid? The last one I saw was $4600. I don’t think he made his reserve.
