I guess I forgot to mention that it is a Ford 2.3 engine in a Fiberfab kit. If they are off, is there a solution?

March 6, 2011 at 10:06 am #243819Thanks everyone for your input. Paul’s picture from the Classic Roadsters Manual was extremely helpful. I was unsure how to install the strap. Now that I have the knowledge it is just a matter of locating the material to use.
Thanks, Jim
November 25, 2010 at 12:17 pm #243045I am in Missouri and purchased my insurance through Hagerty
Collector Car Insurance for $145 per year. I did this
through my insurance agent. I have had Hagerty insurance
before with other classic cars.

November 2, 2010 at 3:31 pm #242674Thanks for all you have done Paul. This site was a major
reason I purchased a replica. I will watch for news on
when and where to send contributions.
Thanks, Jim
October 4, 2010 at 9:39 am #242432I will definitely contribute to keep the site open. This is one of the reasons I bought my MG replica. The help from everyone is invaluable.
September 22, 2010 at 3:31 pm #242328Thanks everyone for all your suggestions. I think I might be able to adapt them. I will start working on the problem and let you know how it comes out. Might be a while before it gets solved.
Thanks, Jim
September 20, 2010 at 5:17 pm #242324The carpet is worn on the side from the clutch foot rubbing it. You can see in the picture that the clutch is furthur out than the brake. When I begin to brake and then have to clutch, my clutch foot ends up on top of the brake foot and then it has to travel past the brake to disengage the clutch. I have to be real careful to put only the edge of my left foot on the clutch and the edge of my right foor on the brake to avoid this, thus the worn carpet. Has anyone tried using a roller type gas pedal similar to on the real TD’s? I will start looking to see if I can make more room on either side of the foot box.
I am not familiar with the VW pedels, but I will look into that idea.
Thanks, Jim
