Just so everyone knows: TDs were produced with both MPH and KPH speedos, depending on the market they were built for. To my knowledge, there were not any that had both.

I usually drive up 83 & it takes me less than 2 hours. Wish I had a more local person to be wingman.

At the SPeedster site the Auto X count is Danny Piperato, Wildbill Drayer, Dave Kumpf, Kelly Frazier and maybe Bruce

Clarification: the 165/80s are about the right size. The 185/60s that a lot of the Speedster guys run are shorter and look wrong on a TD, IMHO. They probably work a lot better though.

I think they look too small on our cars.

How about mounting under the dash? Should be well shaded, and gps signals go through fiberglass, no?

That dead reckoning speedometer is excellent over very long distances. But its reaction time is pretty slow.
