Let me guess Midas?  I had a bad experance with them, when I put the header on, they wanted $250 to make a 4′ pipe from the header to the muffler.  Big Muffler did it for $35, and replaced all the hangers tucked everything up tight.  Did a fantastic job!! 

I actually tried both and found those fender mirrors, for me, were for appearance only.  I added 2 3″ side mirrors just behind the wind wings.  Had to make my own brackets,  MUCH more useful.

If the fuse is ok, next I would check the wipers connection.  When I first got mine only one sorta worked the other nothing.  turned out to be just the set screws had either came loose or were never fully tight.  She had less than 1800 miles on her in the first 20+ years.  I doubt if the first owners ever had her out in rain, very rarely anytim…[Read more]

Mark I agree with Ed,  break in time is BOGUS!!!  The only time this might be (and thats a stretch in this case if they used all new parts) is if you had used the old rotors that had groves in them from worn out pads.  If you leave the pads on long enough the rivets cut into the rotors or drums.  If their too bad you replace them, if not they get…[Read more]

I like the idea of the turbo, got a friend that want to add that to mine, but I cruise about 45 max.

They use to make a product called “Tire Black” for painting white walls.  I used it back in ’69 and worked great.  It may have just been some type of black paint but stayed on with no bleed through in the 2 years I had the car.  Just another option.

I drove by Hooters the other day, the girls were out having a car wash.  They tried their best to get us to pull in, my pretty accessory next to me thought I had washed the car enough that morning.  Prob right but theres an idea for you when you get your car back.

If you want to try to cover the EMPI area before putting the emblem on, I used a sheet of black plastic and cut a disc the size of the area.  It kinda broke up the chrome too.  I like your MG emblem better than mine.
