Guys, Thanks for your help.  It really only makes the noise when pressing down on the clutch pedal. The car uses a 68 VW engine and chassis, I am going to assume the throwout bearing is the same as the 68 beetle.Thanks again for your help !

Wow. That was quick.  Thanks for your quick responses.  Could this also be caused by the ‘clutch release bearing?’
The car is in neutral. Just on and the noise occurs when the clutch pedal is pressed down.
It was fine two weeks ago.

Ed, my mechanic is just a general mechanic in Miami.  He changed the parts I supplied for him and manually adjusted the carb.

Thanks Rich, but what you just said is like Mandarin to me.  I am not much of a mechanic. I can change the oil and that is about it. Someone just mentioned this to me: The diaphragm may have ruptured which decreases it’s ability to pump fuel and also dumps gas into your oil. What would cause the diaphragm to rupture? thanks much :O)  I had the floors redone a few years back and as I was leaving the shop, I had noticed the fuel was on empty, which was impossible, since I always have at least 1/2 a tank.   The guy did not bother to test any wires. Thanks for your help!  The oddest thing happened this weekend. I reconnected the wire on the front for the turn signal and the darn thing started working again (the turn signal) for about 10 seconds and then stayed on. Even after I had stopped the turn signal. The turn signal works on the other side. So, could this be a relay?

Thanks guys!  And I thought all I had to do is find a new set of 165 sr 15 tires.  Is there another size I should be buying?  Also, once I get them what tire pressure should I be using?   I hear 17 psi on front and 26 on back.  Is that accurate?

Yes, those are side windows. Mine came with those.  So, getting back to my question, would anyone know where I can buy the back lights and emergency lights on the front? Thanks.
