  • Thanks Ed and Larry — I was one of the guys asking! I was
curious WHY he wouldn’t drive it: whether because of the
car’s condition or because 6 hours on coast in a drafty
sports car wasn’t something he’d do. At any rate, I think I
want more power (like 2 liters!) and IRS.

  • Paul,I like the Leprechaun, but isn’t cross country shipping a bit pricey? (I remember seeing a quote for something like $1500.) Also, I’m thinking I want to limit my search to somewhere within a 5 or 6 hour drive from the San Francisco Bay Area so that I could check it out. And drive it home. Rick

  • Thanks Ed, I’ll re-size the photos and re-post shortly. Overall I was a little more impressed with the Dutchess components than the Fiberfab, that may be mostly because the chassis was beefier and the exhaust note was
much richer (deeper and more sports car like). I’m thinking $2500 is a bit high for something that I would have to do that much…[Read more]

  • I got a ride in the red car (Fiberfab) and I decided I like TD kit cars. The green car is a Duchess and I preferred the chassis. I’m now trying to get a handle on just how much work the green car would be to put together — and how many parts need to be sourced. I took a whole bunch of pictures of that chassis and would like to get some feedback…[Read more]

  • I got my first ride in a TD replica and I?m hooked. I
answered an ad for a BRG Dutchess body and 1970 chassis,
1974 motor. Turns out he was also interested in selling
his red Fiberfab on a 1966 chassis, 1600cc motor.

So both the wife and I got rides in the red car. For me,
I found the 1600 a little down on power, even though we
    didn?t go over…[Read more]

  • Guys,

This is just the kind of feedback I came here for. I’m
just finishing up a two-year restoration of a 1968 Harley
Sportster and the memory of large and growing project is
fresh. My gut tells me that this TD might be more than
I’m willing to take on while still working full time. The
idea of working with a running car makes good sense. I…[Read more]
