Yeah, its a VW. I refer to it as a German in English drag.
I just ordered 200# of lead to put up front. Took it up in the mountains last week, and the wind whipped my front end around pretty good, hope the lead helps, if not I’ll have to find a plus sized girlfriend.Bill -

It is a fiberglass shell to look like a cover over a tire, but in fact it is just empty space inside. Then there is a vinyl cover on top of the fiberglass shell.

I just had Rosebud repainted, they completely disassembled her, changed all the welting and repainted her two-tone, my bill was $5,000.00. It seems steep, but it came out beautiful. Definitely not an Earl Scheib $29.99 special.I suppose being in California also adds to the price.Bill -

Sorry it took so long to respond. There is no oil filter on the engine. Do you see a problem not having one. Tom’s Foreign Autohouse siaid there was no reason for one, just change the oil every 3,000 miles and keep it topped up. What do you think?Bill -
