Hey, Flip, sorry for your challenges. Your parts list should all be pretty easy to source though (with one possible exception), and so even though I don’t have any of the spares you need (or a Ford-based kit) I’m gonna jump in here anyway to make sure we’re clear.
Headlight brackets might be tricky or easy. At least one of our members made those… -

And new junk for the front end & etc. came today: the new sheet metal for under the frame head, two new sway bars and assorted bushings. I’m still waiting on the “beam stiffeners.”
I also got new front shocks a while back to pull an order into the “free shipping” realm. The ones on Bridget are not bad, but are quite old.The box under it all is m… -

Got the engine hoist squared away.
Here’s hoping I don’t need it again soon. -

I decided I had to go to Home Despot to get my new Welding receptacle, and some long screws to make a bracket to hold the engine hoist on two pieces up against the wall of the garage. And a couple “ladder hooks.”
As I’d rolled Bridget out of the garage to make room for mucking it all out, and as it was a balmy 45 degrees outside, I drove her on the… -

Royal replied to the topic What's this logo? in the forum General Discussion 10 years, 10 months ago
My son owns an archetecture company and he just bought a 3D printer. I have seen some of their first 3D stuff and the logo could most certainly be done with a 3D printer. The way these things work is similar to how you would build up something with a hot glue gun. The “glue” comes out about he thickness of a thread in a spiders web, so the…[Read more]

I think I copied them. I don’t remember where I saw the TD-inside-octagon logo though, if anywhere.
Sorry. -

I don’t think they’ve had such an issue in 30 years. Ray, you’re talking about a link back to us, right?

Try this wiper arm. It’s adjustable for length and the blade end can be rotated.
This ia a 10″ blade. 9″ or 11″ are also available. -

I’m a fan. Met him at Lime Rock a couple months back and picked up the “200MPH Steamroller,” which I just started a couple weeks ago. Bought that one because I read the “Last Open Road” and “The Fabulous Trashwagon” and “Montezuma’s Ferrari” & couldn’t remember if I read or had “Toley’s Ghost.” I think I have it but haven’t read it yet.
Highly… -

I like that car a lot. But who the heck would race such a big, flimsy steering wheel?? 😉
Somewhere there is a ’51 TD that has been claimed as an early–if not first, Shelby ride. Black steelies on it. The obligatory signature. (Update: here it is: http://collectorcarpricetracker.com/auctions/detail/180494600194/)Interesting how the history goes… -
billnparts replied to the topic Ford horn button in the forum Chevy/Ford Kits 10 years, 10 months ago
The horn button on my Grant wheel on my Ford column is a two wire. It clips into the 2″ center hole of the steering wheel.

Royal replied to the topic Ford horn button in the forum Chevy/Ford Kits 10 years, 10 months ago
A horn button typically provides a ground for the horn. On a two terminal button, the ground is the second terminal. On a one terminal button, the button case itself is the second terminal since it is intended to be installed on a grounded metal horn ring or steering wheel. You can fiddle around with the hookup with no danger. If your horn is…[Read more]

Yeah Montie. I always liked the bins-on-the-ceiling trick. My mail door is almost flush though. The back door might be a good candidate for this idea though.
So I worked pretty much all day and not much progress yet. Got the tool box up and running (not full and sorted yet, but getting there). And got the kayaks up on the ceiling (not yet with the… -
