May I suggest This one?
15-inches. Fits the Grant three-hole mount. Bad-ass and $200. Also, no dish. Might be my new favorite. Also comes in three-spoke version.edsnova2014-05-02 20:58:41

My PA EZ Pass works pretty much up and down the east coast. I’ve traveled from Maine to S. Carolina without stopping to pay tolls. I Love it. BUT…My first year at Carlisle, the system apparently didn’t catch it and I received several tickets in the mail for unpaid turnpike tolls. All of these included a photo of me going through the toll gate.…[Read more]

edward ericson replied to the topic ed's nova steering wheel in the forum VW Based Kits 11 years, 4 months ago
so-cal customs sells the wheel with a hub that bolts to the grant three-hole hub you probably have now. I had to drill out the top plate holes a little to make up for the aluminum thickness–though it’s probably possible to slide the lock and signal switch carrier down the shaft an eighth inch to accomplish the same result.
I know: spendy. I… -

The seat back upholstery should be a one piece “pocket” that you stretch around the foam cushion.

Smog laws can be a real pain for hobbyists and poor people alike (to say nothing of poor hobbyists!). I think that in many cases they have gone away because newer cars–and by that I mean anything made in the last 20 years or so–are so much cleaner than what preceded them that it’s just not cost effective to bother much with these tests. They…[Read more]

Went out and took the engine out again to see if I had fouled something up last time I put it on or time before that when I used the wrong throwout bearing thingie.
No damage to anything. I removed the pressure plate and reinstalled with the clutch guide tool just for good measure. Everything looks right. So I reinstalled the engine yet again.I… -

So by now I’m thinking
This is a ???sinking??? sensor. so the load= the wire on the harness and the wire from the sensor should complete its path to ground. Which means blue to ground and brown to the wire from the harness. But weird, because there’s no independent way to see the led light and tell me it’s actually doing it. Gonna get a 9v…[Read more]

Thanks, Steve.
I’ve asked the supplier to just give me the part I ordered (and that he advertised) but while awaiting his response I’ll ask some hacker types I know how to solve this.Still P.O.’d though. I mean: send the bloody part you sold me! -

Ed, this quote from the Panasonic site you linked to should be the way to hook up the 2-wire unit. This unit takes its power to run from the current flowing through it to the ECU, so you don’t need 3 wires. It just daisy-chains into the ECU with one end to the ECU and one to ground (chassis or aground going directly to the battery)The pro…[Read more]

Really frustrated now.
I got my proximity sensor in the mail and of course it???s not what I ordered. The PN matches, but instead of three wires, it has two. sh*t.I emailed the seller, and he got right back to me:“Thanks for contacting us!There is an illustration on the item showing how to wire this part. Please refer to it.Please feel free to…[Read more]
