Allen, I apologize but your post about testing the condenser is simply wrong.
A condenser can not and should not be thought of as a diode. A condenser will “charge” up when a voltage is applied across it, as current is stored in the condenser. To test a condenser (automotive) you can apply voltage either way and this is most easily done with a…[Read more]

Vicenc: I’m sure Tim Miller (KDI) would love your business. You’d have to leave the car with him though, pretty sure. Tell him I said hi if/when you call him.
He was working out of his parents’ garage when I contracted him. The door panels were an easy thing, since I had already cut the backers & had clear pictures of what I wanted the finished…[Read more]

Vicenc, I think that you will be happiest if you have one made. Jack tried fitting my Daytona Migi tonneau to his BCW and his Fiberfab. —- Not even close!
You should, first, decide what you want it to do for you. I, whenever top down cruising, always have my tonneau installed, even if only covering the storage shelf behind the seat…[Read more]

My boards are not cut.

You should be able to go both ways. The top should fold down and then be covered by the tonneau. If the top is removed you obviously would have more room.

Yes, the boards are cut for the pockets. The exact construction is a mystery to me, since i paid a pro to do it. The vinyl is marine grade. I copied the Moss replacements for the original vehicles.

Same here. Masonite with a thin foam pad added.

I used the hardboard type stuff they make pegboard out of. No holes, solid, about an eighth inch or maybe 3/16 thick. I could not make my own door cards because the pockets required a pro.

My thoughts lean toward September because August can still be very hot but maybe PA is different?
I can do most dates but need lead time because I am overwhelmed at work. My Granddaughters birthday is the 21st of September so that following weekend is most likely out plus it gets close to our October meet. I lean towards the weekend of the 10th…[Read more]

I might could do an August run. Actually any of those other dates would probably work for me. But don’t halt the Labor Day cruise if I’m the only no-show.

I might be up but need to check with my wife. Not sure if something is already planned.
Sounds like a nice time.

Dang: Labor Day weekend is the Lime Rock Vintage Grand Prix. Got tickets to that already. Was hoping for some TDr company in CT–or on the ride up?

Vicenc, What a great idea. I wish I could, but I regret that I will not be able to attend. Thanks for the invite, I appreciate the invite.
I still am planning on seeing many of you this fall in Virginia Beach at the Air & Auto Show.
I’m trying to decide whether to drive my TDr or my Classic Mini to the show. My Mini is nice and a lot of fu…[Read more]
