Kent is spot on: the kit manufacturer was Daytona and they intended for it to be a TD replica. However, IMO, far too many builder “oddities” for my taste. Those giant black hinges gotta go. Sorry, but I am left with the impression that the person who assembled it had no idea of what a MGTD looked like.

Incredibly, Moss is actually cheaper for the TD-style repros. Item 53 appears to be the full set–both outside handles, inside strikers and mechanism, for $260 plus shipping.

Doing the same thing myself on my speedster project. 2 Craigslist destressed leather couches going to be used. Wanted the patina.
