My bride and I have started to show our car to see how we stack up so to speak against other fine cars. We always enter as a kit, replica or non production car so we don’t compete against a 100 grand camaro.

To that end, we spent some money for a show sign. It details the basics of the car. The year, make, model, engine, and any modifications we have made. Our sign clearly states that our ride is a replica. It’s on a separate line in fact. Today we entered the car in one of the larger shows in our are, and proudly placed our show sign on the easel and waited.

Now, we entered as a non production car, the sign says replica, and I personally told the judge it was a kit. So of course, we won best in show as…..an IMPORT!

The trophy was nice, but an import? I figured it out later. The Shelby won for best non production, which left me as the import. Ah well, another show next weekend. We’ll see how it goes there.
