    i have seen kits with real wire wheels, looking about on the net , i dont see any for a vw 4 lug, yet i see them on replicas. are these hand fabricated or redrilled hubs?                      mike

    years ago Dayton used to make a 15″ 52 spoke wire wheel for the VW bolt pattern. the price was about $1,800 for a set of four.

    That is likely what you have seen.

    In September 2009, I made a connection with Truespoke and had a quote of about $1,500 for a set of four. These would have been custom drilled as they have nothing in their standard product line.

    If you are interested I will see if they are still around and still interested.

    Anyone else? A few orders would spur their interest much more than one.

    I wonder if Harry Bernard still has his TD? It had those wires on it.
