    Can anyone provide some factory documentation as to the original factory cost of the Classic Roadsters VW based MGTD kit?  I am donating my kit to a local community college that has an automotive program and some documentation as to original costs is needed for the paperwork.  I think I paid in the neighborhood of $5500 to $6000 but alas, can’t find any substantiating paperwork on it.  Anything, even a sales receipt from another kit from Classic Roadsters (Fargo, N.D.) would work, you could black out any personal info.  I would appreciate it and the college would too.  ‘

    I will look for my factory invoice from Classic Roadsters Ltd.
    But it might still be at my ex-wife’s place. I don’t get there very often!

    I have all of the original documents that came with my kit. According to the Classic Roadsters Ltd Products and Pricing brochure, dated April 1985, the price list is as follows
    Basic kit $6495.00
    Duchess Options
    Dual trumpet air horns $98.00
    Ash or walnut dash $148.00
    Fog lamps $88.00
    Wire wheel covers $145.00
    Custom made 15inch wheels $370.00
    15 inch spoke wheels $1745.00
    Antique guages $159.00
    Chrome package $498.00
    The royal package upgrade $521.00
    Padded top boot cover $129.00

    Front end frame package for Chevy $1995

    The Duchess was available factory assembled for $19,839.00
