I am working on a kit that a lot of the parts are missing and must make. Does anyone have a picture of the grill insert for the Fiber Fab kit? Or better yet know where one may be purchased?

I had mine made at a local marine upholstery shop. At the time they did both the convertible top and the tonnaeu cover. The cost for both was about $850 about 20 years ago.

I use a cover from Moss Motors for an original TD, seems to work fine. Mine is a Fiber Fab TD with a VW chassis.

Okay … I did more research with some success.
These guys say they can do a cover to your specific measurements: https://www.carcovers.com/
The price will be in the $300+ range. When I had the custom cover made in 1983, the price was around $250. So I don’t think $300 is out of line over 45 years later.
I briefly described the vehicle, a 1952 MG…[Read more]

A cover for an original MG TD will most likely not fit your TDr.
Back in 1983, I was able to order a custom made cover. The manufacturer sent me a diagram of a generic car, and there were multiple measurements for me to fill out. Cover came out perfect!
I’ve searched around, and chatted with several current vendors, all to no avail.

California Car Cover, and I think Cover King, make cover for a 1952 MG TD.

The carburetor is on, yet I need to get a flexible socket extension to tighten the bolts in the back next to the fan housing. I’m not sure if the rear deck lid is going to fit with it sitting on top of the carburetor.
The exhaust is ready to hook up, but getting the aftermarket heat transfer tubes in is not easy.

A month after that I lost my job again, yet got an interview the next week for a better job that started at the end of April. I spent the next few months settling in and then it was too blazing to work all outside all summer.
Fall activities kept us busy. The guy helping me is my girlfriend’s brother who now lives in Michigan. He and his wife t…[Read more]

Thanks. I guess that I was too lazy. Carlisle, Pennsylvania. I did drive one of them down to Phoenix from Port Townsend, WA years ago (with a little tow to make the last 50 miles). I’m not so sure that I’d want to make that trip from Phoenix, Arizona to Pennsylvania. I was between jobs when I picked up the London Roadster. I am now working aga…[Read more]

“Cherished Salvage.” Another great band name. Another great sales pitch!
“This cherished salvage was lovingly crashed into the Turn 6 guardrail during the 2018 Duryea Hillclimb competition. It’s equipped with blown-out Nitto Extreme tires in 245/50/17 (front) and gently-flogged 305/40/17s on the rear. Note the authentic “OH SHIT” rust streak…[Read more]

No to the racing.
I know that that is all on me.
The insurance covers street use only.
They do have something called “Cherished Salvage”
I can have it back if it’s a total.
